The information presented here on this site is generic in nature — general information for health promotion and well-being, and for general interest only. As individuals, what may work for one person, may not be so appropriate or helpful for another.
For this reason I strongly recommend you to always seek the advice of a health professional (GP, osteopath or other specialist).
I cannot be held responsible for any information, advice, of suggestions contained in any of these pages. In fact I would like to encourage you to be independent and fully responsible for your own health and well-being at all times. (Power to the patient). However, we do need information and advice, and there is ‘expert opinion’. For musculo-skeletal conditions, i.e. muscle and joint pain, you would probably be best to see a musculo-skeletal specialist (you will need a referral from your GP) chiropractor, physiotherapist or osteopath.
There are definitely times when we need to consult with a health professional (osteopath, GP or other medical specialist) and self-neglect or a lack of self-care, is definitely not helpful, appropriate or responsible. Even if you were to research your own health thoroughly (a worthy and positive thing) and look up everything on the internet (way too much information, and not always personally relevant to your own situation) you would still need a medical degree, osteopathy degree, or other specialist training to accurately assess and interpret this information. By all means bring a list of questions with you — after all, this is what you pay your health professional (GP or osteopath, etc) for — to identify what is relevant for you as an individual, and this would be in your own best interests.
Always consult your doctor or health professional (medical specialist or osteopath).
No change should ever be made to any course of medication without consulting your GP.
